How I Want to Be

This morning, I weighed in at 184.4 lbs. Not really surprising considering how I've been eating a lot in between meals. Even with running regularly, a balanced diet is critical.

With an ambitious target for the Milo Marathon coming on July 4, I'm now back to calorie counting starting today using Daily Burn. My target weight to maintain is 175 lbs. and I know that it would take a lifestyle change, not a regular, meticulous calorie-counting activity, for me to reach that long-term goal.

A few images that would constantly remind (and motivate) me about my target:

From April 2009 to February 2010, with December being my thinnest, largely because of the BLC.

Daily Burn weight chart showing I was 170 lbs. in December (with 166 lbs. as lightest), up to my current 184.4 lbs.

Good luck to me & to the BLC 2 participants! :)

I'm with you, Bryan! Let's do this weight loss thing together. I really need some guide and motivation. :) I'm doing Milo 42K, too - my first full Mary. And my target weight's around that too.

Maybe you could give me an idea about your strategy. I'm 188-189 right now. :) But not as strong as you, though. :)

@poch: It's good to hear from you again. :) As I don't plan to calorie-count up to Milo, my strategy would be just to keep track of what I eat, especially those in between meals as I often crave for goodies to satisfy my sweet tooth. To minimize this, I'll drink more water or eat fruits instead of that usual donut or cookie. For meals, I'll try to avoid pork & beef. Running regularly is already a given. :)

Good luck on your 1st marathon! :) Hope to meet you soon.

I'll take your cue bro about avoiding pork and beef :) Hope to see you soon, buddy. :) Oh, wouldn't you guys be having another trail run? I'm really interested to join that one. When's that?

Not really avoid, but just minimize. :)

The next Takbo.ph trail run would still be on May 8 with the link http://takbo.ph/index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=26&func=view&id=49085&catid=30#49085 , but there may earlier ones to be organized sooner. Check the forums from time to time for updates. :)

I think there's an organized trail run scheduled on March 28 in San Mateo. http://takbo.ph/index.php?option=com_eventlist&Itemid=32&func=details&did=322 Not sure if i'll be able to join this though.

Yup, minimize :)

Thanks for the takbo.ph link. Will monitor it from there. Will make for good training coming into the 42k run, I suppose.
