Condura: I am Blessed.

My 1st marathon may be a big highlight in my running career, but after the feeling of elation, accomplishment, and cheerful vibes, I want to look back just to see how blessed I am right now with a lot of other things going on in the running community & in my life...

I am blessed for having REAL friends & REAL people around me. I still believe Takbo.ph is full of good people, always ready to support and cheer for anyone who wants to achieve their running goals, whatever they may be.

Thank you, Takbo.ph peeps.

A cheerful Takbo.ph aid station. Thank you, Jinoe & co.

Thank you, Eire. :)

I am blessed for having someone push me on to the finish and didn't give up on me despite my stubbornness and severe pain from cramps on both legs towards the last 6km of the race when I almost got hit by a taxi at the intersection of Ayala & Buendia Ave (at 33km).

Thank you, Jon Trimble.

After having realized that there is at least 1 person in the running community who acts as a friend, but in reality, this person harbors such resentment towards me, I used this negative energy to motivate me even more and my thoughts of this person's immaturity fueled my run at one point in the race. However, I do not thank you.

Whatever I do in my life & whatever I achieve, it is for me to prove only to myself, and not to anybody else, that I can overcome such challenge.

As I do not know you personally & I never might even have the chance to, bear in mind that the next time I see you & smile at you, know that I am true and although I'm no 'elite', I will support you to whatever you want to achieve in running.

----

When I cried as soon as I crossed the finish line, those tears came from a mix of the pain from my cramps, the joy for finishing, and the appreciation of the people who supported me along the way.

Grats, bry! didn't get to meet you here, but I continue to be inspired. :) just don't mind negative people around you, bro! :) i did 21K and had a couple of really bad breaks but still managed with 2:19. Shooting for a sub-2 next time :) hope to meet you soon!

Bry, we are very, very proud of you :) Once you passed me on the Skyway, I knew you were gonna take it home. True, negative energy can be a good motivator, I've used it myself before hehe. Although not ideal of course. For all the crap that happened bud, this is but sweet vindication.I can somehow empathize because a similar thing happened to me in the past. Just try to channel the negative energy out and release whoever this person may be to the highest good. You know we got your back :)

Blessed you are indeed, Brother. There may have been pains - physical and emotional - but those do not blot out the indelible magnitude of your achievements. Just keep sharing the gift - that gift of showing yourself and others that the difficult and the daunting is possible =)

Congrats for the 4:12 finish, very few can achieve that finish time in their first marathon. Savor the moment pare!

Sam

ps: makapagtights na nga ren sa next 42km ko!hehehehehe

@Tracy Thanks! :) Congrats on finishing your 1st marathon too! :D

@Sam Thanks, dude. Nagka-injury ka pa kasi eh. Ganun? Pag magaling ka na & recovered sa BDM, madali na yung sub-4:12 sa 'yo. :)

Congratulations Bry! Noy and I use you as an inspiration! You have achieved soooo much and to think you only started running last May. Vindication always tastes so good! ;) And I have to correct you...to Noy and I you are an 'elite' not just in running but as a person. The way you give it your all to support your peers is astounding. Don't let people tell you otherwise. Cheers IDOL!!!
